Who she was...

Claire Elaine’s touching subject matter opens the beauty of simple things. If Claire is painting an old cobblestone road, an aged-pair of shoes or a person who is playing a musical instrument, Claire invites the viewer into the world of realism using pleasing, simple, and non-hidden themes. A viewer is put to ease because he can understand what is happening in Clair’s paintings. Once Claire says that the best compliment about her art she has ever received was from a person that noticed her painting with such words: "the beauty found in these paintings is much more beautiful than photographs". And that compliment has inspired Claire's work.

Elaine received education at Brigham Young University then she graduated in Art Education in 1996. After her graduation, Claire received a job in the public school system and then she has been enjoying teaching junior high and also high school-aged kids. She thinks there is nothing better for her than to help teenagers and parents see what an importance art has in the community and also in lives of those around them. To help others discover the beauty art opens has been Clair’s reward and drive behind her teaching.

And for years she has devoted her life to teaching and outputting drawings and paintings and also taking engagement, family and wedding photos. Claire has displayed several of her paintings in some local restaurants and galleries, and in businesses and homes around the country. She is really excited to show more of her paintings to the world. "If I can touch one person in a positive way with my art, well then I have turned into the artist I always wanted to be”.
